Alesis USB FX mixer By JoePiano I purchased this mixing board with the idea of setting up a small home studio. I read other reviews claiming it was noisy, which turned out to be false. I am using all shielded cable for my connections, and don’t hear any noise on any tracks I record with the included CUBASE software. The CUBASE software is a little cumbersome to install the license with the Elicense software, but can be done with a little patience. The effects that are standard on the board are OK, The way it is setup you can only use one effect at a time for all the channels. My setup includes the Alesis mixing board, a 1250 watt amp, 12 inch speakers and keyboards.

A great little mixer. By Rick Sparks Been using this great little Alesis mixer for a year now as the production board for my webradio station on Live365. It’s been flawless in operation w. professional grade performance for very little money (I’ve been a professional broadcaster for 35+ years). No noise, no problems, just a straightforward, quality USB mixer w. the awesome capability of analog to digital conversion, usable processing effects & phantom power for any mic or other gear you might want to use. Although I use Adobe Audition software (3.0), a nice plus is the inclusion of Cubase LE. Don’t see how you can go wrong w. this mixer for desktop production.

Great product for great price By Ash This is a great product for amateurs like myself. You don’t have to spend a fortune for on this great little mixer. My other choice was a Behringer, which also makes good mixers. The equivalent model was at least $40 more. The effects are great. Though in the picture the body looks like a cheap plastic fitting, it is actually quite solid. The USB recording is almost noiseless.
One small complaint I have, is the external power supply. They could have easily fitted the power supply within the unit itself making it even more portable.
